A paralyzed patient fell from a scooter while being taken to an ambulance in São Sebastião do Paraíso, Minas Gerais, on Monday (7). The moment was captured by security cameras.
The images show a man and woman removing a patient from a residence. During the shift, the man driving the crutch loses balance and the patient falls to the ground, despite the equipment’s side protections.
After the fall, he was rolled up, put back on the crutches and taken to the ambulance.
Mayor Marcelo Morais (PSD) informed that the City Hall opened internal procedure to investigate what happened and stated that any responsible persons will be held accountable.
