A Tennessee homeowner narrowly escaped a terrifying incident when a car crashed through her bedroom roof just minutes after she left the room with her two dogs.
The homeowner shared that the car crushed the dogs’ crates, and she expressed relief that they were not in the room at the time.
“Here’s a car that took a nosedive. Had to have been going, I would say, 100 plus, coming up the road,” said neighbor Steven Burris. Burris, who has lived in the neighborhood for 25 years, said he has had to replace his mailbox at least three times due to crashes. He questioned why police haven’t taken more action, asking, “Why don’t the police kind of start pulling some of these people over some of the stupidity stuff that they’re doing?”
The driver of the car, who is in the hospital with a broken neck, is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence, drinking under the age of 21, driving without a license, and reckless endangerment. A passenger in the car sustained minor injuries.
“That was stupid. That was… What were they thinking?” asked Burris.

The homeowner expressed gratitude for her safety and hopes the incident will highlight the need for increased safety measures in the area.
